Bodies are continuing to pile up at government mortuaries in Gauteng. This despite military health personnel brought in to help. NEHAWU and the Department of Health in the province have yet to reach a final agreement. And It’s believed that postmortems on at least 300 bodies are yet to be performed. A backlog that’s hitting hard on families, who are desperate to bury their loved ones. Funeral undertakers too are feeling the pinch.
