The EFF has set processes in motion to trigger the American Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. America’s General Electric is one of four international companies it wants to be investigated in an alleged fraudulent bid to manufacture Transnet locomotives. The EFF says it can show how R17 billion of taxpayers’ money was lost in inflated prices on the purchase of 1 064 locomotives.
