There’s been a double tragedy in Nancefield, Soweto this morning.
This after Metrorail security guards allegedly shot and killed a 17-year-old boy during a service delivery protest and seconds later angry community members turned on the three security officers beating one of them to death. Police are investigating. Scuffles broke out after community members went on the rampage protesting over services.
Train services were affected and Metrorail says their service will remain suspended in that area – until further notice.
