New numbers suggest South Africa no longer on brink of recession

South Africa’s third quarter growth numbers for 2017 showed the economy expanded 2% between July and September. The figure is lower than the 2.8% recorded in the previous three months. But the latest numbers suggest that the economy is no longer on the brink of recession. The latest GDP figure also came in higher than most economists had expected at around 1.7%.
