PNG election: PM O’Neill faces increasing pressure over corruption allegations

Papua New Guinea’s two-week general election has begun. Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is facing pressure over corruption allegations and a collapsing economy.

Despite mineral wealth and a large gas plant, most people on the island live in poverty.
