French President Emmanuel Macron is due in Morocco on a two-day visit. He’s fulfilling a campaign promise to visit the North African kingdom. The French president is keen to cement historical relations between the two countries. When he meets with King Mohammed the Sixth, Macron is expected to discuss security, the economy, religious reforms and Euro-Mediterranean challenges. Macron’s trip confirms Morocco as a significant ally for France in the region.
