Technology assessment and driver experience of Electric Vehicles at the CSIR

The CSIR is currently conducting a technology assessment and driver experience of Electric Vehicles. Ten vehicles have been bought (4 x BMWi3 and 6xNissan) and incorporated in the CSIR fleet for use by employees. Also from inkless printing to innovative laser technology, tech entrepreneurs build complex technologies and hardware products that impact the world of today and tomorrow. This has the potential to solve many of the world’s hardest problems and create employment and opportunities for millions. Tech incubators and accelerators serve as a launch pad for talented student ventures. Successfully incubated ventures coming out of the university accelerators are likely to remain in the local ecosystem and contribute to employment levels as well as create channels for industry-university interaction.
