Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua has concluded his official visit to Burkina Faso. Hu met with President Christian Kabore and held talks with prime minister Paul Kaba Thieba on mutual trade cooperation. This is the first visit to Burkina Faso by a Chinese government delegation, since the two countries resumed diplomatic relations. Hu Chunhua conveyed an invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping to President Kabore to attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation to be held this September. The two leaders expressed their willingness to strengthen bilateral relations during the meeting. They also witnessed the signing of multiple cooperation documents and attended the opening ceremony of Chinese Embassy in Burkina Faso.
