Lagos — A Presidential aspirant of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), Dr. Thomas-Wilson Ikubese has said he would not be attending the national convention of the party slated for today.
He expressed dismay that some corrupt elements have infiltrated the party with the intent of hijacking it ahead of the 2019 election.

Already, Ikubese, Dr. (Mrs) Elishama Ideh and Fela Durotoye are some of the new generation aspirants that have indicated interest to contest on the platform of the party.
However, the other aspirants have equally vowed not to attend the convention of the party holding on Saturday citing attempt to hijack the party.
In a statement made available to our correspondent, Ikubese who is the Convener, YesWeFit Revolutionary Movement, who recalled why he left his former party, the National Conscience Party (NCP) following the alleged compromise on the ideology of the founder, late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, said unfolding events in ANN give cause for concern.
